TEMPORARY HANDYMAN Reliant Realty Service, LLC (“Reliant”) is a real estate property management company specializing in affordable housing properties. Reliant employs and manages approximately 700 personnel who facilitate operations at the asset level. Reliant currently provides property management, legal, accounting, security, compliance, and maintenance services to approximately 13,000 units across 6 states. Summary/Objective: We are looking for a professional Handyman with residential building maintenance skills to assist with the day-to-day maintenance, repair and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment. The handyman will coordinate and complete all requested work, assign priorities and follow up on completion. Classification: Non-exempt. Essential Function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following • Performs routine maintenance work and makes repairs to properties as needed, including light plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, light electrical • Works closely with Property Manager/ Superintendent who will help coordinate tasks • Coordinates with tenants to set times to access apartments to make repairs • Efficiently manages incoming service requests • Repair of walkways and exteriors • Tracks time and logs activities and the work completed for each job • Completes renovation projects as needed • Performs high-quality work with attention to detail • On call to respond to tenant requests and issues Requirements: • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent • 2+ years’ experience with a successful track record as maintenance tech/handyman • Experienced and knowledgeable in construction and maintenance • Able to handle a wide variety of repairs (including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.) • Good at troubleshooting and problem solving • Good communications skills to communicate with tenants and other staff effectively. • Good at using e-mail, text messages, and apps for business purposes • Has a reliable vehicle to travel around to property locations (where applicable) • Able to work occasional Saturdays (if needed) • Owns all tools needed for general handyman tasks- is a PLUS Salary commensurate with experience.
