Learn to create your own plant hanger, then later, apply the technique of making these traditional knots to other projects in your home! Join us for our in-person DIY class and create a beautiful macramé plant hanger with teacher Poliana Dănilă and our supporting Circle Creative Collective team. This fun hands-on project was specifically selected because any adult and most mature children at varying skill levels can accomplish the tasks, and feel the satisfaction of finishing the project before the end of the workshop. You will learn hands-on skills and some history about this tradition. This class is open to families and is recommended for ages 10 on up. Learn to create your own plant hanger, and then later, apply the technique of making these traditional knots to other projects in your home! “While idle at sea, sailors made macramé objects which they bartered or sold when they landed at new ports, including hammocks, belts and covers for knife handles and bottles. These designs spread to China and the “New World” of the Americas.
