Description

AAJA New York's fundraiser to help AAPI journalists get access to mental health resources and therapy May is AAPI Heritage Month! And to help you celebrate, we've partnered with Nom Wah to bring you freezer-ready soup dumplings to help raise money for the new AAJA Mental Wellness Initiative. On this Eventbrite and through May 1, you can preorder Nom Wah packaged and freezer-ready soup dumplings. Then on May 8th, AAJA New York members and volunteers will traverse New York City on bikes, scooters and cars to hand-deliver your order, all in support of a good cause. The order form is open to anyone in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx who would like frozen Nom Wah soup dumplings to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month and support AAJA's effort to help AAPI journalists get access to mental health resources and therapy. Want to help but not in New York City or not interested in dumplings? We're also accepting contributions to the fundraiser through our AAJA New York PayPal or via the donation option on the ticket page of this Eventbrite. Frequently Asked QuestionsCan I donate in other ways? Yes! While we'd love to make sure you have dumplings for AAPI Heritage Month, we'll happily take any additional contributions through our AAJA New York PayPal. Can I volunteer or help make deliveries? We're looking for more members or volunteers to help us make the deliveries! Fill out this form if you're interested in helping out. I'm not a member or a journalist, can I still buy dumplings? Yes you can! And you'd still be supporting our effort to get AAPI journalists access to mental health resources and therapy. Can I buy dumplings for a friend who lives in New York City? Of course you can! As long as the recipient resides in either Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx. When will the dumplings be delivered? On May 8, our group of volunteers will travel the city to deliver dumplings throughout the day, weather permitting. We'll give you a call before we head your way but also be on the lookout for more information about your delivery window closer to our delivery date. What if I'm not going to be home on May 8? We'll reach out to everyone ahead of the delivery date, and if you know that you won't be home, we'll do our best to find a time to deliver it to you when you are home. Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered? You sure can! On May 8, the day of our deliveries, you can come to Nom Wah Nolita to pick up your order instead. More information on this will be sent closer to the date. However, any preorders through this form will not be open to pick up or delivery before May 8. What else should I know? AAJA New York is run by an awesome group of dedicated volunteers, passionate about our mission and supporting our community. Please keep that in mind for our delivery volunteers as well!
