Singer/Songwriter in the Lake Houston Area wants to start a band. My background is in music, business, and law-- I studied these in college. My primary instrument is trumpet (classically trained), guitar, drums/percussion, and piano--in that order. I am less interested in trying to become a rock star, and more interested in having fun while making great music. I am flexible with musical styles, and am open to covers and originals, but I mostly stick to my acoustic guitar. It is worth noting that, typically, the most successful style of music to play is whatever the local audience prefers (what do the locals in Humble/Kingwood/Lake Houston Area listen to?). You must be professional in character, but need not be a professional musician--I have worked with musicians of all talent levels. The most important thing is being solid at your role. Specifically wanted is: lead guitar player, bass player, drummer, keys/piano. Also, I do not necessarily have to be the lead vocalist--if you have a great voice, that works too. I can always sing backup or not at all. I am very flexible on this.
