A program hosted by the Literary Department at Mississippi School of the Arts celebrating senior writers and their definitive works. Bios of Featured Senior Literaries: Maple Hays of Flowood, MS, is a wild creature from beyond. They like connecting with others, and having philosophical conversations, while also laughing a ton. They adore nature in general, and cannot breathe if they're not in it once a day. They dream of owning a plant shop with a corgi, and a brewery on the side. But first, they want to go into psychology and write. Azya Lyons of Jackson, MS, is a young writer who spends her time laughing and getting into conversations about social and political issues. Her writing has earned national acclaim. She is a self-proclaimed womanist and poetic activist. In the future, she hopes to become a psychiatrist from children of color in impoverished communities.
