Mindful Movement: Mental Health Month, w/ Megan Shaffer, MA, R-DMT, Sat. May 15th 11AM-12PM $20/person RSVP required May is Mental Health Awareness month and while we celebrate mental health everyday it is nice to have a special time specifically dedicated to it. In this month’s Mindful Movement workshop, we are going to get in touch with what our body needs and how that connects and impacts our mental health. We will honor the space, the time, and the energy that our bodies are craving in a creative, playful way, and as always, communal way. You don’t need a diagnosis to have mental health struggles. If you have a brain then you have mental health! Mindful Movement invites clients to take time to honor their thoughts and feelings through expressive movement. You do not need any prior dance experience or training to attend this group. Mindful Movement explores our own authentic movement styles and encourages you to tap into your creative voice. In this group, you will learn guided exercises that help mobilize your natural energy source, increase positive experiences in the body, and improve your self-esteem.
