Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can affect anyone, but it is mos In May we celebrate Mental Health Month as well as Lupus Awareness month. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can affect anyone, but it is most often diagnosed in women between the ages of 15 and 44. Throughout this month, we will be raising awareness of lupus and other autoimmune diseases while also shedding light to the mental and emotional toll that such diseases have on the individuals who live with them. We will kick off the month with "the Chapter 41 Project" Lupus Awareness Walk on May 1, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The walk will be followed by a Mental Health Community Family Fun Day which will feature arts, crafts, music and community mental health resources and vendors. The Family Fun Day will begin at 11:00 a.m. All events will take place at Brookfield Park 2740 Mayo Road, Augusta, GA
