***Respond with Resume Lone Star Lettuce Growers - Aquaponics Greenhouse Technician Looking to hire an eager, detail oriented team player as a full-time Aquaponics Greenhouse Technician to help operate our commercial aquaponics business. Applicant does not need knowledge of aquaponics; however, he or she must be eager to read & learn about aquaponics, our system, our processes, and our evolving business. Aquaponics is the sustainable farming practice of naturally growing fish and vegetables concurrently. Responsibilities of the role include: building and expanding system, planting, transplanting, harvesting, maintaining fish & system health, preparing and loading produce, and tracking inventory. This employee will be very involved with the day-to-day operations of the farm and must be able to follow detailed operating procedures and must be comfortable working almost exclusively in a greenhouse environment (on your feet for most of the day). The position will require an estimated 40 hours per week and will likely have early weekday morning starts with occasional weekend work as needed for system health. Position offers competitive salary with select benefits & accommodating vacation. · Location: 10 minutes north of downtown Georgetown · High school diploma or equivalency required · Agriculture/greenhouse experience strongly preferred – looking for someone who enjoys working with plants · College Degree preferred but not required · Must enjoy working on your feet in a greenhouse with plants & fish (outdoor, hands on work) · Applicant must have some flexibility for work hours (early starts & late finishes) · Looking for someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time · Basic building skills required · Willingness to learn. Applicant does not need knowledge of aquaponics; however, they will be expected to learn daily. · Must be detail oriented and organized · Must be a self-starter & willing to take on responsibility · Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
