Press release from the Town of Bel Air: Posted on: April 20, 2021 Posted on: April 20, 2021 Public Hearing to Consider Amending Absentee Voting NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. to consider Ordinance No. 802-21 amending Bel Air Town Code Chapter 37 Elections Section § 37-1 Definitions and Word Usage Section § 37-18 Absentee Voting. This legislation is intended to ensure all votes are counted by amending outdated language, regarding absentee ballots, otherwise known as mail-in ballots, and align related definitions and regulations with the Annotated Code of Maryland and the Code of Maryland Regulations, often referred to as COMAR. To abide by social distancing rules, due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the Public Hearing will be via teleconference.
