2 house cats need to be rehomed

I need to rehome my 2 house cats. They are tabby's, sisters, about 8 years old. We've had a dog in the past and they got along okay with it. Our dog passed about 3 years ago, and in November we got another dog. Since then, the cats are NOT happy and are doing all kinds of nasty business around the house. Even though they have ½ the house separated by a gate to give them a "safe space" away from the dog. My husband has allowed me to have cats, as long as they stay clean, because he is allergic to the urine/feces. The problem has become to the point that it's basically the cats or my husband, and as much as I love my cats, I'm rather fond of my husband. I don't know what else to do at this point. I need to find them a home, or surrender them to the humane society - and we know what happens to adult cats there. I have two litter boxes that go with them, and a very tall (floor-to-ceiling) cat tree if you want it. Asking a rehoming fee, only to ensure they are not adopted to a bad person. $75 for both.
