JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Deputies are searching for a suspect after he tried to grab a 9-year-old girl Tuesday at Harriman Lake Park, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.
The attempted child abduction occurred at 7:20 p.m. on the Weaver Gulch Trail south of West Quincy Avenue and South Kipling Street, authorities said.
The girl was walking with her friend, when suspect grabbed the girl by the shoulder, and she screamed, the sheriff's office said. He then ran west.
The suspect was wearing a black bandana, a black hoodie, sunglasses and dark pants with a hole in the knee, deputies said. His age and height were not known.

Anyone with information is asked to call 303-271-0211. If you live in the area, you're asked to check home video footage for any images of the suspect.
