Some weekend work required due to site access example working at schools or even night work example working on the freeway. Rare but happens. (bags of cement, concrete or plywood) Applicants must be able to pass an initial physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Applicants MUST be mechanically inclined. (We travel to and if something goes wrong you need to be able to identify the problem and if easy, fix it) Solid understanding of driving directions and able to use a map, GPS, or map program on smart phone. (we give you an address you need to be able to navigate there safely using your cell phone) Good with computers: Must fill out computer based forms (Word/Excel), save them, and email them.(every day you would be required to fill out a word doc, then be able to navigate through the laptop to save the document, create folders so really just basic knowledge of computers, but the more you know the better) Applicant must be able to learn how to operate CPT testing system. We will train. (Quick learner, comfortable with computers). 40 Hour OSHA (we will pay for this after probationary 90 days) Applicant must be able to pass security clearance for military bases and schools, and applicant cannot have felony criminal record. (we work at police stations, jails, schools, military bases) MUST be able to get to work on time with early morning start, most of the time you will get to the office around 500 to be on jobsite at 7am PRIMARY DUTIES: Perform daily inspections on vehicle Drive support truck (pick up truck) to various sites. Some sites require spending the night out of town (company pays all expenses). Perform CPT testing on site. Testing occurs inside "office" on rig. Perform and be mindful of safety while driving and on site. Load and unload materials at shop and job site, using safe work practices Upload data daily from site. Fix Equipment on down days, so have to comfortable turning a wrench. Interact professionally with clients (engineers/geologists) DETAILS: Full Time Position (overtime/double-time possible weekly). Due to nature of projects, work on Saturdays or Sundays will happen occasionally. Base Wage Rate: $23/hr. plus Overtime/Double time/ & Prevailing Wage Some projects are Prevailing Wage and will be paid as such (higher rate~69.95/Hr). Rig is based in Hayward, CA, must have reliable transportation to the office/yard. We will train new hire on CPT testing aspect of job. (Quick learner, comfortable with computers). Hotels and gas paid by company and per diem ($40) provided for nights out of town. We will pay for other certifications as they are needed. (TWIC/RR/OXY etc) Dental Insurance paid 100%. 50% of Health Insurance/Vision paid by company for employee and dependents. 2 Weeks paid Vacation. Paid Sick Time/Jury/Bereavement/Holidays.
