German Shepherd up for Adoption

Description

Age: 4 1/2 years Neutered, crate trained, outdoor dog. Very food motivated, loves fetch, knows sit, stay, heel, spin, down, back-up, and shake commands. Originally from New Zealand, we raised him from a puppy. However, because we lived by ourselves in a sparsely populated area, he received very little human or animal interaction. We moved back home to the Bay Area and he's having a really tough time adjusting to the other people in our household. He is fear-aggressive towards people. He hasn't shown any aggression towards other dogs, but he dislikes cats. He is also very good with young toddlers and babies. We realize this doesn't make him very suitable for adoption, but feel like it is worth a try to find a good home. We understand he needs a lot of training and rehabilitation. Note that we are only interested in giving him to a better situation than the one we currently are providing. This isn't a "must rehome" situation.
