TINLEY PARK, IL — Shots were fired in the area of 167th and Oak Forest Avenue in Tinley Park Wednesday morning, according to an alert from the village. The incident occurred at the 16700 block of Gentry Lane, just west of Oak Forest Avenue, according to police. Officers recovered shell casings at the scene, but no injuries were reported. Police believe this was an isolated incident. Police are still active in the area, and detectives are currently investigating the incident. The village asks that residents avoid the area until further notice. Tinley Park Police told Patch updates will be provided shortly, but there are none at this time.
