In light of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Sheriff's Office in partnership with the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), hosted a free virtual screening of the documentary "The Bystander Moment: Transforming Rape Culture at its Roots" followed by a virtual conversation April 20 with keynote speaker Jackson Katz, Ph.D., co-founder of Mentors in Violence Prevention and guest speakers Sheriff Jim Hart, and Ann Simonton, Chair of the Santa Cruz Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women.
