New Mass Vaccination Site Opens In Round Lake Beach

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A new mass vaccination site has opened in Round Lake Beach. The site is located in a former KMart Supercenter at 400 E. Rollins Road is providing indoor COVID-19 vaccinations by appointments to all 16 years old and older who live or work in Lake County. Vaccines will be free. The site opened on April 20. When vaccine supply allows the facility to reach its peak capacity of 5,000 vaccinations per day it will be the largest vaccination site in the county. Vaccines will be offered Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. by appointment, officials said. The site will be operated by a collaboration between Baxter, Curative and the Lake County Health Department. Appointments can be made online. The county said those who have already registered for a vaccine via AllVax and opted in to have their information shared with vaccine partners could be contacted by Curative to schedule an appointment in Round Lake Beach.
