LIVERMORE, CA — Dom's Outdoor Outfitters closed its doors for the last time this weekend after 51 years serving customers in Livermore and beyond.
The family-owned retail store was tentatively slated to close up show April 30, but sold out of merchandise Sunday thanks to "amazing community support," said Dom's President Jeff Saccullo in an email.
"We want to extend a sad and sincere thank you to all of our great customers and friends we have made these past 51 years," he wrote.
Dom's was one of many businesses that struggled during the coronavirus pandemic. It first announced plans to close in January.
A lack of goods from manufacturers and online retailers also contributed to the decision to close, Emily Saccullo, granddaughter of founder Dominick Saccullo, told Patch in January.
Dom's was founded in 1970 to provide the community with outdoor products. It was located at 1870 First St. in Livermore.
