BURNSVILLE, MN— The armed carjacking suspect who was shot and killed by Burnsville police on Sunday has been identified as Bradley Michael Olsen, 30 of Dresser, Wisconsin, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said. The BCA also identified the four officers involved in the shooting as: Sgt. Dan AndersonSgt. Brent MurrayOfficer Paul OelrichOfficer Chris Walswick Officers tried to pull over a truck on Sunday afternoon for having stolen plates, officials said. The truck then crashed into another vehicle at South Cross Drive and Buck Hill Road before becoming disabled shortly after, officials said. The driver, later identified as Olsen, fled the scene and ran into a restaurant where he stole a customer's keys from their table and fled in their vehicle, officials said. Officers saw the stolen vehicle driving North on I-35W and began chasing it, officials said. During the chase, Olsen shot at the officers, officials said. Olsen then took the Highway 13 exit and got out of his vehicle, pointing a gun at an oncoming vehicle, officials said. All four officers shot at Olsen, though it was not disclosed which officer fired the fatal shot, officials said. After being shot, Olsen was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis where he died, officials said. A woman who was initially in the truck with Olsen was taken into custody by Lakeville police, where she was interviewed by BCA officials and released, officials said. This incident is still being investigated, and officials said the BCA is going to review body cam footage to see if the incident was captured.
