Culver City Crossroads April 20, 2021 Want to know where the candidates for the 54th Assembly District stand on the issues that effect you? Join in the call for a forum on affordable housing and homelessness with the candidates running in the May 18 Special Election. Assembly District 54 includes many of the LA County neighborhoods that were already struggling the most with housing affordability, homelessness, and the risk of displacement due to gentrification prior to the coronavirus pandemic. With the coronavirus pandemic still affecting all of us, leading even more people to face housing insecurity and homelessness, we need leaders in Sacramento who will prioritize affordable housing for all and ending homelessness. Join us to hear how the candidates for Assembly District 54 plan to prioritize affordable housing and homelessness issues in the state legislature. This event is open to the public, and we especially encourage those who are eligible to vote, as well as those who live, work, operate affordable housing properties, or serve unhoused residents in Assembly District 54. This event is hosted by the Southern California Association of NonProfit Housing (SCANPH), and co-sponsored by the Coalition of Small Rental Property Owners, Culver City for More Homes, the Empowerment Congress West Area Neighborhood Development Council, KFA Architecture, LA Voice, Social Justice Learning Institute, the Sutro Avenue Block Club, Westside Urban Forum, and Venice Community Housing, which have all served on a planning committee to organize this event.
