Description
DACULA, GA — A human skull found recently in woods near Interstate 85 has investigators scratching their heads.
Discovered a week ago near malls and houses off Hamilton Mill Road and Sardis Church Road, the skull is believed to belong to an 18-to-30-year-old woman, according to Gwinnett County investigators as reported by WSB-TV.
Past that, investigators know nothing. Was she murdered? Did she overdose? Or did she commit suicide? For that matter, did she even die where the skull was found? All they know for sure, according to the medical examiner, is that the skull could have been there for as long as two years.
Gwinnett police spokesperson Cpl. Collin Flynn said their only lead is dental records — which is why they need the public's help in identifying the skull.
Anyone with information that may lead to identifying the skull is asked to call Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300. To remain anonymous, tipsters can contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 (TIPS) or visit www.stopcrimeATL.com.
