Description

Experienced guitarist available for recording sessions. 30 years of experience. Blues, Rock, Country, Soul, R&B, Folk, Gospel/Contemporary Christian, etc. Acoustic and Electric, also slide. I've got a well stocked tool box of guitars and amps to fit the style and tones that you're looking for. My playing is heavily influenced by Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Dicky Betts(who I’ve played with), Kim Simmons(another British Blues great that I have played with), Warren Haynes & Derek Trucks(two more that I have shared, well you get the point). I’m also influenced by the country/soul tele players like Steve Cropper, Jim Ed Davis, Roy Buchanan. I’m heavily influenced by BB and Freddie King, and Jimmy Vaughn. I love Bakersville Country Guitar, Buck and Don, Merle! Well, I love Southern California Tele Twang, in general! And yes, my favorite Beatle was George! I don’t do heavy metal. Not because I can’t, I’m just not into it and my gear does not fit the dark heavier distorted tones. I paid a lot of money for my guitars because of the unique, particular way that they sound. I don’t care to drown them in heavy distortion. My tones range from clean to overdriven. I use Fender and Dumble style Overdrive amps. I am new to the KC area after moving here from the southeast for family reasons. Also, if you need to rent a Hammond B3 and Leslie for a recording session, I can help you with that also. Just inquire. Please, only serious inquiries. I had some moron ask if I played like John Petruci and Dimebag Darell and when I said no, spent the rest of the afternoon insulting my abilities, or perceived lack there of as he tried to push his guitar lessons and help me become a better player. Lol! Yes, its sad, these people actually walk among us and feel the need to put others down in order to feel better about themselves. No quality musician would put down any other musician, especially when they’ve never even heard them play. A true musician knows that we are all always learning and you can learn something from anybody, even someone staring out! The best players have the greatest humility! I’m not the best player out there, but nobody can be a better version of what I do than I can. If you’re looking for good tone, feel, and a guitar part that fits your song, rather than play all over it, then I’m your guy! Sometimes, the best notes are the ones you leave out!
