Warehouse / Yard Hand Concrete Collaborative specializes in the manufacture and architectural sales of innovative concrete finishes – tile, pavers, slabs. This is a full-time role based in our San Marcos warehouse and stock yard, working as a core member of our team. Main Responsibilities: Receive concrete products in a safe manner. Unload, stage, store and maintain inventory in preparation to ship/deliver. Load outgoing orders and allocate product according to order specific requirements. Pack/repack product for safe transport and a good presentation to the customer. Identify and label orders, crates, a-frames of materials for ease of identification. Work with others to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory through systematic documentation and counts. Keep the warehouse and yard clean and operate a forklift. Adhere to a culture of safety within our warehouse and manufacturing facility based on CalOSHA, standard operating procedures, and other regulatory policies. Learn CalOSHA and Storm Water requirements and ensure warehouse maintains a high level of adherence. Establish and maintain an exemplary interaction with coworkers and provide operational assistance when needed. Identify discrepancies in order counts, materials, sizes, colors, other details and raise awareness with Administration and/or Supervisory team to ensure customers ultimately receive their products and on time. Assist in identifying and ordering necessary items for manufacturing & shipping Drive/deliver loads, as necessary. General ad hoc tasks as needed Qualifications: Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the day, manage time wisely, flexibility to remain focused in a dynamic environment, display a positive attitude at all times. Ability to maintain strong relationships with team members and customers Knowledge of general warehouse/yard practices, record keeping, filing systems, and basic math. Ability to operate a forklift, manual pallet jack, or other equipment necessary to load/unload crates and a-frames of concrete slabs. Ability to work between 7am and 7pm as necessary to accommodate truck deliveries, but work a general schedule of 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday. Ability to walk, turn, pivot, stand and/or sit repeatedly. Ability to climb, kneel, bend, stoop, or craw. Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 90lbs Ability to learn and adhere to the new regulations (Silica Safety, Personal Safety, SOP’s, IIPP, HIIPP,SWPPP, etc.). Ability to utilize independent judgement, think critically, communicate orally and verbally in English. Ability to work with others who are from diverse backgrounds and have differing opinions, display tact and patience with others, maintain attention to detail while completing all tasks. Ability to sense and abate safety hazards. Additional abilities desired, include ability to communicate bilingually inEnglish/Spanish, ability to drive multi-day trips for deliveries.
