We are a locally owned and operated tire care center looking for a Tire Technician to join our work family. Main responsibilities include tire repairs, mounting, and balancing passenger, commercial, farm, and industrial tires. Experience in these tasks is beneficial, but not necessary. Hands-on training will be provided to fill in skill gaps. Attention to detail is a must. Safety is a top priority and we require the use of PPE equipment. Our work environment is outdoors. Physical requirements include prolonged standing, walking, kneeling, bending, pulling, pushing, and heavy lifting. Accountability, consistent, and timely attendance are mandatory. This full-time position requires flexibility in hours of availability – Monday through Friday 7 am to 5 pm and Saturdays 7 am-12 pm. Hourly pay rate is according to experience, with an immediate opportunity for growth. Responsibilities: • Removes and installs tires, which includes all aspects of repairing, replacing damaged/worn tires on passenger and commercial vehicles, tractors, or trailers • Determine repairable tire conditions and making such repairs • Clean and maintain service equipment, tools, shop, and warehouse • Stacking of tires for disposal • Comply with safety regulations and requirements • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor Applicants should be able to: • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, which may include light and heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting • Repeatedly lifting and moving 50-100 lb tires • Must be able to work in an environment that can be hot or cold depending on outside weather • Must be able to follow OSHA Safety Guidelines and wear PPE • Must be able to understand and follow directions issued by the supervisor • Maintains regular and predictable attendance Apply in person at: Carter’s Tire Center, 1090 IH-10 East, Seguin, TX during business hours.
