We are looking for a skilled Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. Your job will be important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits. An excellent painter is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job. They have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work Must also be a U.S. Citizen that can clear a background check as we have many Federal projects with high level security that require clearance. ( No warrants or previous criminal records) Please keep in mind this is a* PAINTER POSITION.* Wage: $14.00 - $18.00 Responsibilities: Prep work (caulking, patching, pressure washing, masking, sanding) Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster) Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools Rolling (Using the correct roller naps for different surfaces) Brush cutting (Cutting paint on hard edge and two surfaces) Operating Spray machine (Spraying, Troubleshooting, Using correct tips and gun extensions, Maintenance, Cleaning machine) Apply varnish and other finishes Maintaining work environment clean Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions Requirements: 1. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. 2. Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure. 3. Must be a good team player with a great personality and have a positive "Can Do" attitude. 4. Must have reliable transportation. 5. Proven experience as a painter 6. Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them 7. Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques 8. Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) 9. Good basic math skills 10. Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. 11. Conscientious with great attention to detail 12. Must be U.S. Citizen __ ** Prior Paint Experience is not required if you are willing to learn! All inexperienced painters will be be trained in house on how to properly assess and work in field. After our probationary period you have the opportunity to become a journeyman and earn a higher wage and also potentially becoming a project foreman.
