Description
Job Summary: Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff. Works closely with Director of Planning and Supply Chain Management, Production Manager and Quality Control Manager. Job Responsibilities: • Manage, oversee, supervise and participate in stockroom operations • Oversee and participate in the receipt and dispersal of materials entering or leaving warehouse; • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational, and personnel policies and procedures • Samples raw materials received (Quarantined) for QC testing and approval • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols • Responsible for Inventory Controls of finished goods and raw materials; conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system • Maintains physical condition and cleanliness of warehouse by planning and implementing storage layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement • Manages shipping carriers, reviewing services annually for rate and environmental consideration • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results • Maintains warehouse staff by training and orienting employees • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching and counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results • Ensures Warehouse is in compliance with all OSHA Safety regulations and all employees adhere to Safety policies and procedures • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions • Operate forklift • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed • Other duties as assigned by management Required Skills and/or Experience: • Must be hard working and highly motivated • Superb planning and organizational skills • Expert communication skills • Able to work under pressure, managing change & coarse correction • Must be familiar with budgeting, accounting (Microsoft Excel), as well as SAGE processing software • Must be familiar with Health & Safety regulations; First Aide certification required • Sit, Stand, walk and move rapidly frequently • Forklift certification required • Ability to handle up to 75 lbs occasionally, with or without lifting aides • Push/pull hand trucks and pallet jacks containing product of substantial weight occasionally • Fluent English, with good command over writing • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records • Ability to plan and supervise the work of others • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with associates • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation • Must have 3+ years of experience on the job
