Summary/Objective This position is responsible for ensuring the screen print department has everything needed to run efficiently, including preparing and organizing screens for printing and order print tickets, and facilitating staged orders for production. The specialist should be fully in coordination with the shift leads, print manager, and shipping team at all times. Position Requirements Open, clear & direct communication skills Operate dark room equipment and wash-out stations to prep, burn, wash and reclaim screens for the printing press operators. Keep a clean, tidy workstation and contribute positively and proactively to the cleanliness and safety needs of the warehouse. Successfully carry out printing process controls and quality checks to maintain production efficiencies and high-quality standards as established. Positively contribute and be aware of all printing and shipping collaborations, duties, run rates, supplies and expectations to meet production timelines and custom order details. Accurately mix silicone inks to match Pantone colors specified in order details. Support print manager to help process purchase orders, including artwork preparation in Adobe Illustrator, organization of all film and paperwork, screens, and scheduling related to staging and ship dates for print team. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no immediate supervisory responsibility, but can develop in that direction over time. Full-time preferred, Part-time considered with regular schedule Required Education and Experience This position requires a high-school diploma. Ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions, or ask for help while still being independent and productive. Extremely process driven and detail oriented for screen print preparation, production and cleanup. Mechanically inclined, making safe and efficient adjustments to screen printing equipment. Understanding of color theory for ink mixing and desire for perfection. Ability to safely lift Silipint products and operate machinery, and a willingness to abide by the safety standards set forth in the warehouse. Adobe Illustrator and experience with vector artwork files.
