We are looking for a Dog Handler/Walker for a luxury dog daycare located in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan. We only use positive reinforcement techniques when working with dogs. If you like Cesar Milan's training technique, this job is NOT for you. If you adore Victoria Stillwell's style, then we would love to hear from you! This is a part-time dog walker/ dog daycare handler position. You must have experience and be available for at least 6 months, including some holidays. Duties include walking the dogs, cleaning up after them, feeding them and playing with them. You must be comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and those that are older, puppies or have minor behavioral issues (professional dog care experience is required!). Interested applicants should be a dog lover, responsible and punctual. You must be able to travel quickly from apartment to apartment (with your own metrocard). You must be willing and able to work and walk dogs in all weather (rain, shine, snow, heat, etc) and available to work holidays. You should have a phone with a decent camera and you must be the kind of person that checks it regularly and is comfortable texting. You must be able to focus on the dog and their needs above all else. We are a small daycare with less than 10 employees. You must be able to work legally in the U.S. and supply references.
