Description
I'm looking to rehome my 11 year old Bichon Mix. It will need to be someone experienced with reactive dogs.
My dog is fine in the home with other pets and visiting dogs. However, she is reactive on walks to other dogs, sometimes people if they talk to us. She is also very reactive to the door. Deliverymen especially. If it is visitors she is reactive until she smells and remembers them, then she is happy and screeches and asks for pets. If it is an unknown person she will growl and takes awhile to warm up, sometimes we put on a muzzle to keep her from scaring the guest. This way she focuses more on how much she doesn't like the muzzle rather then the guest.
She is fine when we go to the groomers and vet seeing other dogs. I think it may be reactivity related to being territorial?
I'm looking for someone experienced that would be able to help her live life more happily than what I am able to provide.
No rehoming fee, but would have to meet you and eventually see how my dog does visiting your home.
She does have anxiety and is on Prozac 15 mg a day, it would be up to you if you wanted to continue that or not.
