Workplace: Based in Raleigh, NC Position Status: Full Time or Part Time, non exempt Travel: Travel is required, approximately 75% of the time Availability: Immediate Compensation: Compensation will be based on experience. Duties and Requirements: EarthOptics is seeking full and part-time Ag Field Technicians (20 - 40 hrs/week). The field technician duties include; assisting in field crop research and collecting field data, maintaining equipment, transporting equipment to field sites. Field Technicians will work alongside the Field Manager throughout their training. This role involves travel to research sites in NC and out-of-state. Candidates should be dependable and able to meet the following requirements: Ability to do physical work in outdoor environments, e.g. collecting soil samples, loading and unloading equipment. Ability to lift > 50 pounds. Ability to operate computers and electronic devices. Preference will be given to candidates who have farm or field research experience and/or educational credentials in an agronomic or engineering field. Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States Ability to maintain confidentiality; if hired, candidates must sign a non-disclosure agreement.
