King Koi Goldfish is a family owned and operated fish store in Fountain Valley near Mile Square Park specializing in koi, goldfish, bettas and planted tanks. We are America’s largest importer of high grade and quality goldfish. We are seeking a responsible part time employee to work 2 to 3 days a week with the opportunity to assume additional hours. Fish keeping experience is Preferred but not required You Will be a Good Fit if you can/are; - Work independently without constant supervision - Meet hourly and daily performance marks - Take ownership of the job you are doing -Work accurately, efficiently and responsibly - A quick learner - Pay attention to small detail -Positive, friendly, customer service oriented attitude -Coach-able; individual who can act upon constructive criticism Primary Job Responsibilities; - Change water and maintain water conditions for aquariums and ponds. - Netting, bagging and moving fish - Cleaning tanks and filters, including wiping inside and outside of tanks - Assistance to customers. Including answering questions and providing a positive shopping experience - Medicating fish as necessary *Additional Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to;* - Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service - Assisting customers with questions and sales in store and online - Opening/Closing Store - General retail duties - Preparation of shipping boxes - Occasional store maintenance and cleaning - Assisting customers with carrying out and loading purchases - Maintaining clean store facilities including bathroom *Nice to Haves; - Have knowledge of koi, goldfish, bettas, shrimps or planted tanks - Have knowledge of fish keeping, including disease and treatments - Retail experience - Bilingual; Vietnamese or Chinese - Computer literacy - Google Docs familiarity - Ecommerce experience (Shopify and eBay) Starting Pay - $13-14/hour Job Type: Part-Time Schedule: Flexible but AM preferred Experience: - Fish keeping: 1 year (Preferred) - Retail: 1 year (Preferred) - Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred) Advancement Opportunities: Every employee has started in this position before advancing into other areas.
