I have been a student of Japanese martial arts for 24 years. I have spent countless hours learning both lethal and non lethal martial techniques. I have never seen anyone employ a technique that included placing a knee on a person’s throat. There are several simple techniques to pin a person to the ground and render them helpless without using force.
