SUMMARY: Performs necessary general labor functions at the fertilizer plant and on the facility grounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Assist in setting up equipment for fertilizer production • Assist in the production and loading of fertilizer. • Unloading and loading of trucks, hoppers and bags with use of forklift and/or manual lifting. • Assist in the blending process of dry and liquid fertilizers. • Assist with inventory counting. • Must have ability to communicate with office administration and transportation staff. • Must be able to comply with Quality Control procedures and documentation. • Ability to learn all raw materials used in production of fertilizer blends. • Provide general assistance in repairs or maintenance of equipment. • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, shoveling and washing surfaces on equipment and the facility. • Ability to identify waste and dispose of it properly. • Adherence to all plant safety rules and regulations in assigned area. • Maintain a clean work environment both inside and outside the facility by using good housekeeping habits • Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. • Reliable and regular attendance is expected. • Comply with all safety and training protocol.
