Hon. Vice Consul Kristiina requests the pleasure of your company at the Ceremony & Toast of her induction into the Order of the White Rose. On December 6th, 2020 Kristiina Hiukka was honored with the recognition of Knight of the Order of the White Rose by the President of Finland for her decade of service as an Honorary Vice Consul of Finland. On May 7th, 2021 she will be decorated with the medal of the Order of the White Rose by His Excellency Consul General of Finland Stefan Lindström. Date: May 7th, 202, 3PM -5PM Place: The National Nordic Museum, 2655 NW Market St, Seattle, WA 98107 The event is organized according to the CDC and Washington State, King County public health guidelines and the number of guests restricted. The Order of the White Rose of Finland was established by Carl Gustaf Mannerheim on January 28, 1919. The name comes from the nine roses in the coat of arms of Finland. The motto of the Order on the medallion stands for "Isänmaan hyväksi" or "For the Well-Being of the Fatherland". Attire: Semi-Formal to Formal. Guests are encouraged to wear their decorations. Parking for guests will be marked in the parking lot behind the museum. Guests will be invited to tour the "Landscape Masterpieces from the Finnish National Gallery" exhibit following the ceremony.
