Description

Come join your fellow JLC members to prepare the gorgeous Kelton House Gardens and for Spring weddings and special events, all while safely Come join your fellow JLC members to prepare the gorgeous Kelton House Gardens and for Spring weddings and special events, all while safely social distancing! We will be focusing on planting pretty flowers in the flower beds of the KH Gardens and pots throughout the Gardens and additional Spring gardening preparations to welcome our KH guests, visitors, and JLC members as the weather gets warmer. We will go over the basics of prep, planning, and planting seasonal flowers and plants all while socializing (at a safe distance, of course). Guests are welcome, no gardening experience is needed, and beginners are encouraged to come and get their hands dirty! This volunteer opportunity is a great time to learn how to create your own Spring garden at home, whether big, small, or just a pot or two. Wear clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes and don’t forget a water bottle. Also, if you have them, please consider bringing gardening gloves, knee pads, and gardening tools (such as trowels, small shovels, garden claws, and weeding tools). Arrive when you can and stay as little or as long as you’d like and feel free to bring a bottle of wine. Tools and Gatorade will also be provided. *How to Register* Be sure to RSVP through the link below.
