At Vinyl Spot NYC, our business & clientele have increased and we’ve been working diligently to adjust to that demand. We are currently looking for a Printing Assistant to join our team and help with Custom Apparel Printing, Heat Press Printing, Screen Printing and Embroidery in our print shop. We are looking for an experienced Screen Printer to operate a 6 color manual screen printing press, and has knowledge of burning screens, reclaiming screens, setting up jobs. Must have experience to be qualified for this position. This position is to be filled immediately. Requirements: • Clear vision with ability to perceive colors properly and accurately. • Ability to manage both high quality work and efficiency in all projects. • Strong hand-eye coordination with ability to apply pressure of varying degrees. • Willingness to mix screen printing ink and handle necessary chemicals. • Enjoy practical, manual work - this is a skilled trade job. • Self-motivated problem solver with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. • Self-starter with ability to work well independently as well as with others Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1.) Screen printing apparel on a manual screen print press. 2.) Department organization and cleanliness. 3.) Hitting and reporting on daily productivity targets. 4.) Checking quality of print 5.) Counting in garments daily to match up with purchase orders 6.) Stacking/folding/boxing garments 7.) Breaking down screens off press / cleaning squeegees, floodbars, etc 8.) Assisting in setup of screen printing jobs going on machines 9.) Reclaiming Screens 10.) Operating a Heat Press 11.) Lifting and moving heavy boxes 11.) Any other tasks or help the shop may need The right candidate should be very detail oriented, organized, fast paced, reliable, punctual, has great communication skills and customer service. Must possess a good attitude with a willingness to learn and patience is key. Our goal is to find an employee that will become a long time member of our team.
