Facilities Maintenance/Cleaning Position

We currently have a facilities maintenance/cleaning opportunity with a busy Real Estate Development and Management Company. Position is primarily located in the Bronx. Coverage for other properties in Westchester and Hudson Valley will be needed periodically. Access to company vehicle. Duties: • Be responsible for general appearance of high traffic areas (interior/exterior) • Ensure the facility remains in a safe working conditions at all times • Monitor the conditions of the property • Ability to Operate Various Cleaning Equipment Such as: Carpet Extractors, Floor Buffers, Etc. All necessary equipment will be supplied • Coordinates with various departments and contractors for preventive maintenance work on facility equipment such as air handling units, RTU, etc. **HVAC Maintenance experience a plus • Provides support to the Building Manager on various projects and covers duties during vacations/time off • Maintains documents related to preventive maintenance, break-down maintenance, and usage logbooks, daily monitoring of facility temperatures. • Ability to order supplies/materials: Keep stock of required filters, belts, lubricants, etc. • Interacts daily with various departments and outside contractors to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field. • Responds to emergency calls and works on-call schedules as needed (either during or outside of regular working hours). Required to be on call for emergency situations. • Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler). Qualifications Must have HS diploma and 2 years previous building maintenance/cleaning based employment. ****Government Background check will be required**** Must have valid NYS Driver's License. • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and according to manufacturers' instructions. • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment • Has a passion and pride for a safe and clean environment • Can remain engaged/proficient working at an individual level • Is very detail oriented when it comes to completing their work
