Spend the day assisting with the Green Village Initiatives Reservoir Community Farm! Spend the day assisting with the Green Village Initiatives Reservoir Community Farm! The Reservoir Community Farm is an urban farm right in Bridgeport. The farm team grows and sells thousands of pounds of affordable produce each year for the community. Reservoir Community Farm also serves as a setting for educational school field trips, the site for our Youth Leadership Program, and a knowledge resource hub for Bridgeport’s school and community garden network. Volunteer tasks at the farm include weeding, trash pick-up, planting, turning beds, and additional gardening projects. Skills that are particularly helpful on the farm include: farming/gardening experience, landscaping, carpentry, crafts/painting, ability to lift heavy objects, experience using power tools.
