Warehouse Assistant needed for a busy, high-volume, high-end furniture gallery in West Palm Beach, FL. In order to be considered for this position you must meet the following qualifications: • Previously employed by a moving/shipping company. • Experience in delivering fragile furniture, porcelain, and crystal items. • Experience with strapping and blanket wrapping items to place and strap in a truck. • Must speak English. • Your own reliable form of transportation is needed. • Own cell phone. • A plus but not a necessity: Forklift License/Experience, Bi-lingual. ------------------------------------------------------- Job Requirements • Dependable - Arriving on time and ready to work at the start of the day. • Trustworthy - Must be able to practice a high level of discretion and privacy. • Honest – Honesty is key and expected at all times. • Presentable - Wear appropriate clothing at all times. Cargo shorts, khakis, and work pants preferred. Company shirts will be provided and must be worn at all times. Cleaning of company-provided uniforms is the employee's responsibility. • Strength - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and do so repeatedly throughout the day. • Multitasker - Must be able to work and coordinate one’s self to be as efficient as possible and maximize the number of tasks completed each day. • Problem Solver - Able to come up with solutions for issues that may arise, with a good head on their shoulders. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- !!ANYONE NOT MEETING THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AND WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT APPLY!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Job Duties • Moving fragile items from one location to another. • Transportation of items from the warehouse to the gallery. • Unpacking of incoming items to warehouse/gallery. • Packing of items to be delivered locally. • Cleaning of warehouse and box truck. • Changing of light bulbs, pressure washing parking lots, additional cleaning duties. • Must be open-minded and willing to help with additional tasks when needed. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Full-time hours: Monday-Friday 10 am-5 pm, with the flexibility to occasionally stay longer or come in earlier if needed.
