Description
SALEM, MA — Friday's wintry mix of snow, rain and wind forced the cancellation of the drive-thru "Stop the Spread" coronavirus testing at Salem High School.
Bursts of rain and snow made it all the way to the coast Friday while up to 10 inches of snow fell in the higher terrain of central and western Massachusetts.
Wind gusts on Cape Ann reached at high as 50 miles per hour early Friday afternoon.
The accuracy of coronavirus tests can be compromised if testing materials get wet.
Please note that due to the inclement weather today's drive-up COVID-19 testing at #SalemMA High School has been cancelled. pic.twitter.com/4p9EF6jrDD— City of Salem MA (@CityofSalemMA) April 16, 2021 Did you find this article useful? Invite a friend to subscribe to Patch.
