Mudbone, along with Old Church Revival, Kayla Ray and Sadie McClendon will be performing at our second event! Doors: 4:00 p.m. Show: 4:30 p.m. Meal: 6:00 p.m. We will be grilling out for this event! Our menu will include porkburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips and drinks. This is a family friendly event! Folks of all ages are welcome! Mudbone grew up in the musical legacy of a gospel/bluegrass family who saw fit to be baptized in Muddy Waters. I spent my adolescence riding a greyhound bus through the gates of Memphis, TN down into the cradle of the blues playing honky tonks and juke joints all over the delta. I immersed myself in not only the musicality of the blues, but in the history of it as well. I learned to play guitar from bluesmen who had been taught to play the blues by the men that had created it, such as Son House and B.B. King. Their stories were an education that can’t be bought. It is with this knowledge base that I begin to tell this tale. I hope you will join me for an evening of songs and stories about how our music became our music. Old Church Revival joined Mudbone for the first Sunday Gospel Singin' and Social and will return to the stage with him on May 2! Waco, Texas born singer-songwriter Kayla Ray wipes clean the dust of nostalgia and can bring even the hardest heart to a place of reflection and understanding. All this while remaining feverishly reverent to the roots of country music, greeting current day affairs head on, and chasing whiskey shots with the rowdiest banter one can muster. Currently touring both the US as well as Internationally Kayla Ray is a quick rising favorite of the independent scene. Kayla’s latest studio single, “The Jameson Waltz” (2019) more than quadrupled it’s projected numbers in it’s first quarter. Kayla’s most recent full album release, “Yesterday & Me” (2018) received high praise in both the United States as well as the UK earning Ray the number 1 spot on Kelly Gregory of ,“Country Music People” Magazine’s, top albums list of 2018. Over the last decade Kayla has received many awards and accolades. And, in addition to touring with Eady, Ray has shared stages with artists like Cody Jinks, Erin Enderlin, Jo Dee Messina, Jamie Lin Wilson, Whiskey Myers, Mo Pitney, Marcia Ball, Reckless Kelly, Jason Bolen, The Turnpike Troubadors, Shane Smith and the Saints, Ray Wylie Hubbard and countless others. From honky tonk dance tempos, to sit you down and contemplate life ballads, Kayla Ray’s music does not disappoint. Her feverish reverence to country music, an indisputable work ethic, stoic beauty, and massive personality, make Kayla Ray an embodiment of what country music should be. Sadie McClendon has been entertaining listeners young and old since she was 8 years old. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Sadie made her Nashville Debut on the stage of Honky Tonk Central. That same day she was invited to perform on the main stage of Tootsies, which she did, for several hours! You can find Sadie playing your favorite restaurants, bars, and theaters all around the Southeast US. She most recently appeared on stage with Jamey Johnson in Alabama for a crowd of more than 10,000! Skilled beyond her years on as an instrumentalist and songwriter, now newly 13 year-old Sadie inspires audiences with her love of traditional and outlaw country music infused with her own unique vocal style. Join us on May 2, as Mudbone, Old Church Revival, Kayla Ray and Sadie McClendon take the stage for our second Mudbone & Friends: Sunday Gospel Singin' and Social event!
