These are my little babies I honestly have a huge attachment to them and as do they to me when they settle down for the night. They know I keep them safe but I struggle. They are 2 months old and pretty big now and still getting bigger. Must be kept as pets and together at all times. Don’t separate the birds. Please research the dos and donts of keeping backyard ducks before considering. My home isn’t safe anymore because rats are nearby and have attacked one of my ducklings and injured his head and neck. The wounds have fully healed now because I’ve properly cared for them but still don’t know how to protect my ducks from a predator such as a rat because they are able to find a way into any enclosure by any means. They are not sexed but I am almost sure that I have a male and female here judging by the bill and size difference. Ducks lay very profitable eggs and more often then chickens too. A dozen of duck eggs sell at $12 a piece and could someday bring in a good income if you wanted. Please be sure to educate yourself on how to care for domestic ducks and what to expect. They are not bad ducks they are so well behaved that I don’t have the words to describe it but they naturally are messy and need a good home to live in prior to introducing them to your back yard. I have them in a dog house with a door on it at night and fenced in in chicken wire in the day with a kiddy pool in it. They will be hard to maintain without a pen already established for them. I will also be sending them off with all of the supply I’ve had for them and it’s everything you will need to care for them and so much more.
