Press release from the Newton South High School PTSO: April 18, 2021 Congratulations to the Newton South Jazz Ensemble who are one of the 15 finalists nationwide for the 26th Annual Essentially Ellington Festival, the most coveted distinction in Jazz education. Conductor Lisa Linde of the NSHS faculty and the students made magic despite the difficulties of masks and physical distancing.
