Press release from the Town of Hingham: April 15, 2021 Starting May 1, 2021, new rates will be in effect at the Hingham Transfer Station. All Hingham Residents and Commercial permit holders will be charged for Appliances, Electronics, and C&D/Bulky Waste (Including Furniture) according to the updated rates approved by the Board of Selectmen on March 16, 2021, shown below: Appliances (Microwaves, Stoves, Refrigerators, etc.) - $15 per item Electronics (TVs, CRTs, Monitors) - $15 per item Residential C&D / Bulky Waste (including Furniture) - $120 per ton, $15 min. up to $250 lbs. then $.06 per lb. All Commercial Vehicles will be charged according to the updated rates approved by the Board of Selectmen on March 16, 2021, shown below: Hingham Resident Commercial Sticker (Hingham Debris Only) - $50 - Yearly Out of Town Commercial Sticker (Hingham Debris Only) - $150.00 - Yearly All Commercial C&D/Bulky Waste (Hingham Debris Only) - $320 per ton, $45 min. up to $300 lbs. then $.16 per lb.
