Press release from the Town of Chelmsford: April 15, 2021 Chelmsford Aerial Mosquito Larviciding - April 2021 CHELMSFORD BOARD OF HEALTH NOTICE Chelmsford Aerial Mosquito Larviciding Wednesday April 21, 2021 The Central Mass Mosquito Control Project will be conducting its annual aerial larviciding program in Chelmsford on Wednesday April 21st. Pellets are distributed in wetland and ponding areas by helicopter. This aerial application has taken place in Chelmsford for the past 16 years. The application is designed to reduce mosquito emergence in May and June. The product that is used is Bti, a natural bacteria that is certified organic and is non-toxic to humans, pets, and other wildlife.
