PUYALLUP, WA — The developer behind the Shaw Road warehouse is suing the city of Puyallup over fees related to their developments, according to a new report from the News Tribune. As the News Tribune explains, Developer Viking JV LLC's lawsuit argues the city should reimburse the company for their work building sewer lines and a lift station — both built for Viking's development, but which could also benefit future developments in the area. Previously the city had considered a so-called "latecomer's agreement" to pay Viking for that sewer construction, the lawsuit is an attempt to push that agreement through. This is the third time Viking JV LLC has sued the city.
