Macadamia nut workshops presented by The Macadamia Nut Association and the Hawaiʻi Department of Agriculture. Join us at OK Farms in Hilo to see an effectively run macadamia nut nursery, how to graft macadamia nut trees, and connect with industry experts. Experienced Macadamia Nut Orchard Manager, Volanda Collins-Toribio will use the nursery at OK Farms to show participants the set-up and flow of a successful nursery, crucial to the aging orchards in Hawaiʻi. With new trees come new varieties and the most successful means is to graft. Grafting will be showcased as well for participants to gain confidence in doing it themselves.
