Walltown Dance Company Audition - Saturday, 08/14/2021 - Ages 9-12 years: 3:00-5:00PM - Ages 13+: 5:30-7:30PM Courage, commitment, and grace under pressure are all key ingredients for any endeavor. And here at Walltown Children’s Theatre, we believe in supporting dancers who have a deep passion and interest in dance. Your passion and skills, plus our professional choreographers and instructors all combine together to create what is known as the Walltown Dance Company, an exciting extension of Walltown Children’s Theatre. WDC is an exciting young repertory dance company with unique choreography and elements of styles of genres such as Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Latin and Jazz dance. Since the 2005 founding we have showcased the exceptional talents of dancers from 9 to 25 years via unique performances, lecture-demonstrations, community based opportunities, dance competitions and exceptional performances throughout North Carolina. Not only do company members gain valuable dance experience, but they consistently share their love of dance with their families, peers and the larger community; a true gift. In preparation for 08/14/ 2021 audition, we highly recommend dancers take our Jazz and Ballet Camp. Limited full and partial scholarship opportunities will be available. WCT instructors and guest artists will focus on technical training in ballet and jazz, with additional classes offered in stretch and conditioning. Students will also learn expert choreography created especially for dancers by the summer faculty.
