Press release from the Stamford Fire Department: Deputy Chief Matt Palmer April 19, 2021 STAMFORD, CT (April 19, 2021) – At 09:28 AM, Stamford firefighters were alerted to a report of a house fire at 33 Hillandale Avenue.  4 Engine Companies, 1 Truck Company, 1 Heavy Rescue Company, and the Shift Commander responded with a total of 26 personnel.  Initial arriving fire companies arrived on scene in less than one minute as fire units were already in the neighborhood clearing from a seperate incident on Glenbrook Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire on the second floor of the multi-family residence and were able to quickly contain it to the area of origin. Fire damage was limited to the second floor of the residence. Firefighters also worked to minimize any water damage on the first floor.  All occupants of the residence were able to safely evacuate prior to the arrival of firefighters. There were no injuries to the occupants of the home or firefighters. Additional scene support was provided by Stamford Emergency Medical Services and the Stamford Police Department.
