BAY SHORE, NY — A man was arrested on Friday for the murder of a 22-year-old woman who was found dead in a Bay Shore home this week, according to Suffolk police. Frania Espinal, of Dix Hills was reported missing on Monday, police said. After an investigation, she was found dead inside the Heckscher Avenue home at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The resident of the Bay Shore home where Espinal was discovered, 22-year-old Darren Mansfield, was charged with second-degree murder, police said. He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip. The exact cause of death was not disclosed.
