Woodbridge's Coronavirus Cases Still High

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The coronavirus in Woodbridge, like the rest of New Jersey, does not seem to be letting up, despite many people receiving the vaccine. Woodbridge's caseload numbers are lower than what they were in the beginning of January, but still higher than what they were in February and March, said Mayor John McCormac on Friday. "We are still averaging less than half of the numbers from the first half of January but February and March were lower, which is frustrating since many people are getting vaccinated," said McCormac. "We just can't seem to get a sustained streak of low numbers as the Township had 178 new cases of coronavirus from the general public in the last four days with 38 on Monday, 47 on Tuesday, 35 on Wednesday and 58 on Thursday," he said. There were also four new COVID deaths in Woodbridge this week: Two women, ages 72 and 81, and men ages 75 and 88.
